British Royal Navy Commissioned Officer sword and scabbard

Ceremonial version of the British Royal Navy Commissioned Officer sword and scabbard. Made according to the British MOD specification. Delivered under government contract.

In November 2005, WKC has taken over the tools of Wilkinson Sword for production of various ceremonial swords

Sword: Nato Stock No.: 8465-99-869-0393.
Scabbard: Nato Stock No. : 8465-99-963-1526.

Blade:
Stainless steel blade with one groove on each side. Forged, well-tempered, hand polished, hardness ca. 48-52 HCR Rockwell. Manually acid etched, so deep, that one can feel it with a fingernail.

Length of the blade is ca. 795 mm.

Guard:
Embossed brass guard with anchor and crown, hand-polished, 24 carat- goldplated.

Grip:
Real sting-ray skin covered handle, wrapped with three goldplated silver wires.

Scabbard:
Real rawhide leather scabbard, hand-sewn with 24 carat- goldplated brass mountings with 2 rings.

Included Accessories:
Protective cloth bag.
